What began in 2022 with just 50 women has grown into a bold movement for safer pregnancies. Today, Birthsafe proudly supports more than 10,000 registered Mamas with life-saving antenatal care. And we are just getting started.
From Lagos to London, Houston to Ontario, Abuja to Port Harcourt, our impact reaches Nigerian women, African women, and women of color in the diaspora; wherever they are, however they are.
Our Women Are Thriving
When antenatal care is proactive, personal, and accessible, everything changes. Birthsafe Mamas are avoiding some of the most dangerous pregnancy complications thanks to our protocols and daily support.
Women in our care are preventing:
- Anaemia
- Pre eclampsia
- Uterine atony
- Prolonged labour
- Excess blood loss
- Avoidable fetal death
- Delayed postpartum recovery
And many more complications that put mothers and babies at risk.

This is the Birthsafe Mandate in action. We are reducing preventable miscarriages, stillbirths, birth defects, maternal trauma, maternal deaths, and the burden on hospitals by delivering expert antenatal care through technology.
Community Action And Recognition
We do not just serve; we show up.
- Provided free training to over 1,300 nurses and midwives through our national webinar, War Against Traumatic Birth. These health workers are now part of our Safe Pregnancy Ambassador network.
- Delivered maternal outreach to women at the Business Balance and Beyond Women’s Summit in Port Harcourt
- Offered free education to non-paying users with our simple and easy to follow learning approach
- Partnered with Ibom Air to deliver our War Against Malaria In Pregnancy outreach
